A friend of mine has had three sessions of ECT. It was given therapy for depression. After the third session of her memory loss was actually terrifying: he could not remember how to use the remote control TV, or what he had to do to make your face (though she was an actress when she was young). He recovered the knowlwedge how to do these things and others, maybe it was just the confusion and memory loss. Certainly, she can not remember what happened a month or two ago. Memorey profound long-term or engine problems have been linked to incorrect application of treatments ECT, during or after seazures uncontrolled EC which leads to hypoxia or arrest, very long series of treatments or prolonged courses of treatment for rare Fators unresponsive or recurrent processing, and other or by other events. If friend is still having difficulties prolonged or increased symptoms, please talk to your incurage psychiatrist about the problem. Even if it is something that is affecting your life or a great concern to her, she should bring the concerns to mental health provider.
