Children in good lifejacket boats?
Our friends have asked her out on his boat next weekend (on a lake). We are very pleased but a little nervous about having our daughter 4 years old on a boat. I will buy a life jacket, but I'm not 100% in type that should be your getting. The vest for your child must wear a USCG approved label FLOTATION DEVICE ands must have the correct size depending on the weight of the child. Children must wear their life jackets while on the boat. You want to select a vest which has more buoyancy in the chest and neck to ensure that the child will float in upright with the head and face out of water if consciousness is lost and can not help themselves. I've included a link to a sample vest that works well for child. If your child is 30 pounds, I would suggest the 50-pound size 25 instead of 0-30.
