If you a beginner just get a used board. It does not rain on the parade or anything, it is very good advice, but beginners usually have a much tendacy fall, striking the rocks, etc. You do not want to ruin after the council pay the price for it, get a card until you have used the basic skills and start getting the fall of all, do not want to pay much for the board and end up destroying haha.
