How to fix a surfboard delamination?
I have a longboard 6 feet 9 inches with a top fastened. The boom is good and the glass is not broken, delaming only where the flex point was when a wave broke over him. "I can fill the gap under the glass with resin? The damage does not seem to be getting worse, but I fear that time is losing its watertight integrity and I will have more problems with the roof coming elsewhere.
That is difficult. The only way I know of is to remove the resin and glass that has delaminated. Make a hole in the raised area, then use wire cutters and remove areas that were separated foam. Arena of glass and resin around the exposed area and add another sheet of glass and resin new soft sand then. If the foam underneath is damaged, you may want remove some of it and filled with a foam material replacement glass before applying again. Difficlut task but it is do-able.
